About

In 2023, a few of us got together over beers (and a mineral water) and started talking about photography.

And we kept coming back to the same thing: there is so much great work out there, yet much of it will only ever exist for a split second on a tiny screen, reduced to "content", driving traffic and generating engagement.

For many emerging artists, social media is the only practical way to reach a wider audience. And even if you have an audience, the hurdles of bringing a photographic project into print are considerable.

Filter Photography Zine

That’s how the idea for a photography zine came about.

Not for money, but for enthusiasts. Driving traffic to exciting new work – not to advertisers. Printed on paper, as great photos deserve to be.

We are a nonprofit registered in Luxembourg (Europe). The money we make through zine and t-shirt sales goes right back into making more zines.

Submissions & process

We are looking for photography projects, in all genres and styles. We are not looking for collections of individual photos. Submissions are open to all.

You should be able to provide around 30 to 40 photos as digital files in a reasonably high resolution. If we decide together to go forward, an editor will be assigned to the project. Later, a graphic designer will work on the layout and prepare the publication for print.

Going from initial contact to finished product can take up to a year. There are no costs for you.
